Body Dialog: Philosophy

Here's where therapeutic massage fits in. It's all about health and well being from the inside-out and from infancy to great age. It's about improved performance whether you're training for a marathon, keeping up with corporate demands, or keeping up with the kids. Massage is about putting yourself on your own priority list, so you don't become overwhelmed and immune-exhausted. It's also about recovery and rehab after an illness, car accident or surgery. Massage is about comfort and caring touch for those grieving, the elderly and those living with chronic pain. Massage focuses you inwardly and moves you forward. It renews and refreshes your outlook on life. It keeps you healthy and youthful. I believe that if you have a body you can benefit from therapeutic massage!

I was born and raised in the beautiful countryside of the Cotswold Hills, England arriving in the USA in 1977 after extensive travels. Finally settling on Arizona as my home, I got my original 1000 hour training at Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College 16 years ago and have been self-supporting, full-time in massage therapy ever since. I am constantly learning new techniques through continuing education and I am licensed, insured and nationally certified in massage therapy and bodywork.

My work is focussed in several directions. First, CranioSacral, Hypnosis and Body Dialog (energy work); second, flexibility, deep tissue and trigger point therapy; third, Lymphatic Drainage, Aromatic Head massage and Radiant Stone. I find these techniques give me adequate tools to address most of my clients' needs and bring about positive change over time. I am building a strong private practice here in Sedona and can happily work with referrals from medical and alternative health care professionals also. When I am with a client, they have my undivided attention and focus; I hold the space for them.

I have taught at Phoenix Therapeutic Massage College, and Phoenix Community College for several years teaching massage, meditation and career development, though at this time my practical skills are more in demand. Let’s hear from you!!!

I encourage your participation by means of feedback, which will help shape future articles. I would love to hear from you via email ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it ) with your thoughts about massage and your therapy testimonials. If given permission, I will put your personal experience with massage therapy on this page to share with others. We are still very much a profession in its infancy and those of us that are true therapists need to constantly reassure our clients and the general public of our continued commitment to your health and wellbeing through our work.
