Pass Time Healthfully

Time Flies!

'Another year gone by, how is that possible?!' This is what you might be asking yourself as you set about all those tasks that were put off until after the Holidays.

The passing of time is so much a matter of perspective; time drags when we are waiting in line or doing some unpleasant job; time flies though when we're with the people we care for or doing things that give us joy. Deepak Chopra MD, in his book 'Ageless Body Timeless Mind' recommends that we all spend some time each day doing something that totally absorbs us in every way, so that we don't even notice the passage of time. This is one way to really take care of ourselves in our own unique way and to be truly present in whatever it is we are doing. Doing what we love and what focuses us, can keep us both young and healthy.

Another way to take care of ourselves is to get regular massage, of course. Our body needs touch that is caring and unconditional. A massage gives us the chance to sink into that healthful place where we are relaxed and yet aware, a place where time flies and the body can finally rest. What a gift to yourself! You are worth that gift.

Massage Gift Certificates for all occasions always available

Hot Tip!

Heat a moist towel in the microwave for a minute or so, to wrap around your feet or neck at the end of the workday. Adding a drop of lavender oil doubles the relaxation; a drop of peppermint will get you up and moving again for the evenings' activities. Mmmmm.
